Ionic Balance
Scope of Application:
The Ionic Balance Method is essentially a calculation carried out using the results of 10 individual analyses. The methods for these analyses therefore form part of the Ionic Balance Method. The parameters analysed for are:
Alkalinity Nitrate
Sulphate Nitrite
Sodium Potassium
Calcium Magnesium
pH Conductivity
Chloride
Others
The method is applicable to water and effluent matrices.
Technique:
TitrimetryIon Chromatography, Conductivity probe, ICP-MS
