Unfortunately, a prominent accreditation symbol is in many cases no guarantee that data from laboratories is of high quality. The risks associated with the use of unproven data are significant.

Chemex can offer a range of services ranging from full data review in consultation with the analysing laboratory to simple data interpretation and comparison exercises.

Typically packages such as the USEPA functional data review guidelines will be used or other national or international criteria.

These services may be of use to those pursuing legal cases or simply trying to determine how much reliance can be placed on the numbers that they have received.

Examples include:

A client who asked Chemex to review data provided by an overseas lab which stated high levels of chlorinated solvents in all samples. Subsequent review demonstrated that these identifications were erroneous and therefore clean-up costs were substantially reduced. 

A client who asked Chemex to undertake full data review of work undertaken in defence of legal proceedings. We were able to assist the client in casting doubt on the assertions made by the opposing side.
